Garden Spruce Up

June 4th 2021, is a date that I will try to remember for a long time coming. This date is important to me for two reasons, one them being that it was the first time I had been in the church in over a year. The feeling I had just by being there is a feeling that I can't explain. The other reason that this date is memorable for me is because we; Sharon, Lynn, Tavawn and I, cleaned up the garden at the front of the church.

Now, knowing something and seeing it are two different things. No one had really been taking care of the garden in the past year plus, and it really showed.

I had never gardened before in my life, something I am sure Tavawn could say as well. It was fun ripping out weeds and making candy floss with the vines that threatened to suffocate most of the flowers. It was a lot of work, so luckily for us, the sun decided to hide away for most of the time that we were out there, only gracing us with its presence in the last hour of our time.

We got a lot done, but it is in need of more TLC. One day when it is cooler we will go back and finish. For now, here are some photos showing our progress.
